Assessments

At MindCare Clinics, we offer assessments for children, teens, and adults. Psychological assessments, including neurodevelopmental and educational assessments, evaluate cognitive, emotional, and social development, academic abilities, and learning needs.

These assessments help identify neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Learning Disorders, such as Specific Learning Disorder. In addition, recommendations for support and intervention should be provided.

Psychological assessments use a range of information from different sources, such as cognitive and achievement assessments, self-report and informant-report psychosocial questionnaires, historical information, including school reports, and clinical interviews. Once the information has been collated and interpreted, a report is given and presented in a feedback session.

    We offer assessments for Specific Learning Disorders, including conditions such as Dyslexia (reading difficulties), Dysgraphia (writing difficulties), and Dyscalculia (math-related difficulties). Our evaluations help pinpoint learning challenges, and we provide tailored recommendations for strategies and accommodations in the home, school, or work environment to support academic success and skill development.

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

    Our assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are designed to evaluate characteristics such as communication, social interactions, and sensory processing. Using evidence-based tools, we provide a detailed assessment and offer practical recommendations for creating supportive environments in the home, school, or workplace that foster positive development and interactions.

The Process

  • Arrange your appointment at MindCare Clinics by completing our online enquiry form or emailing us.

  • You’ll be provided with MindCare Clinics Consent Forms to review and complete.

  • You’ll complete various questionnaires and be asked to provide additional information that will assist with the assessment process.

  • At the feedback session, we’ll discuss the results and outcome of your assessment.

  • Once payment is received, the report will be released to you.
